Basic Information on Living in Rome

* Life Standards and Financial Requirements:

To be able to study in Italy you have to provide a proof to the Italian diplomatic agencies abroad and authorities in Italy that you have enough financial resources to cover your living expenses for the duration of your stay. The cost-of-living in Rome is standing at approx. 900 euros for a month. You also have to consider that you also have to cover university fees between approx. 200 up to 5000 a year (the amount depending on the financial condition of you and your family and to the type of course you choose). However, according to the Italian Ministry of University and Research, at present, the minimum amount of money regarded as indispensable is Euro 350.57 per month for each month of the academic year in order to obtain the visa.
